Obituary for Nicholas J. Freel

Nicholas J. Freel
Clinton-Nicholas J. Freel, 38, peacefully left this world on March 2, 2021 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. He is survived by his loving parents, Karen (Litterio) Freel and Edward T. Freel, Jr., of Clinton and Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his brother, Zack Freel of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; his aunts and uncles, Nancy and Rick Morgan, Joni and Vic Pulnik, Donna Litterio, and Patricia Thomas; his maternal grandmother, Jeanne Litterio; & numerous cousins and friends. He was pre-deceased by grandparents, Gloria (Spencer) Litterio and Joseph Litterio and Frances (Tripp) Freel and Edward T. Freel, as well as aunts, Kathryn Lucht and Pam Freel. Left to miss him are also his canine companions, Sammy and Happy.
Nick was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 2001. He leaves his Clinton crew from high school, as well as friends he has made in the past few years in Myrtle Beach. He enjoyed his job cooking and could easily whip up an appetizer or meal. Nick loved anything related to sports, especially his beloved New England teams. The Patriots and Celtics have lost their greatest fan! Nick also enjoyed music, especially Hip Hop, and could often be found in the lab with his friend Phil busy mixing beats. He loved to laugh and enjoy time with family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10AM on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. For those wishing to attend remotely, Nick’s Funeral Mass may viewed live on the funeral home website. Burial will be held at a later date in St. John’s Cemetery, Lancaster. There will be no calling hours. In Nick’s memory, we ask that you do an act of kindness. “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved; we can never lose. For all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” - Helen Keller
