John D.  Ciampa
Somerville-John D. Ciampa, 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Beaumont of Northborough. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of Loretta (Elias) Ciampa, and their daughter Karen A. Ciampa-Ingalls. He is survived by his daughter Andrea Ciampa of Lawrence; grandchildren: Michael Ingalls, Brandon Ingalls, Christine Ingalls, and Stephen Ingalls; great-granddaughter Emma Grace Ingalls; his siblings, Linda, Grace, and Artie Ciampa; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is pre-deceased by his brother Thomas Ciampa.
A proud patriot, John served our nation in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He returned home safely and remained an active volunteer is his community, notably through work with the Somerville Council on Aging, Somerville YMCA, and the Community Action Agency of Somerville. He enjoyed playing poker and was a long time member of the Saturday night card club. John will be forever remembered as a loving husband father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Calling hours will be held from 5 until 7PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A graveside service will be held at 12:30PM on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery, 355 Walk Hill St., Boston. Online condolences may be placed at www.philbincomeaufh.com
