Ernie was born in New London, CT, son of the late Ernest & Helen (Moyer) Rice.  Following graduation from Pioneer Valley Academy, he was drafted to serve in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  He returned home safely and continued studies at Rutgers University and Atlantic Union College.  Ernie devoted his professional career to Nypro, Inc. in Clinton, where he enjoyed countless friendships for more than forty years until retiring as Director of Marketing.  Among his greatest hobbies, Ernie earned his pilot license and soared through the skies in twin engine pipers, and cherished his Straight Line .22 collection as a respected member of the Smith & Wesson Collectors Association.  Above all, Ernie loved and lived for his family and will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather.  A celebration of life will be held at 1PM on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the Establishment, 75 Princeton St., No. Chelmsford.  Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ernest H.
