Eleanor M. Diguette (Robinson)
Clinton-Eleanor M. (Robinson) Diguette, 81, beloved teacher, mother, and friend, passed peacefully on Monday, December 20, 2021 following a lengthy illness. She is survived by her son, Christopher J. Diguette of Clinton; her niece Linda Valentine of Philadelphia, PA; sister-in-law Jean Kelleher & husband Paul of Ayer; cousins, extended family and many dear friends, notably, Mary Ellen Moore. She is pre-deceased by her brother Andrew J. Robinson.
Ellie was born in Clinton, daughter of the late Harold & Eleanor M. (Hartnett) Robinson. She graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1957, obtained her undergraduate degrees in English and Drama from Marymount College, and her Master of Education degree from Worcester State College. Mrs. Diguette enjoyed her twenty-five year career as a 5th grade teacher at the Clinton Middle School, where she, alongside Kevin Winn, served as co-chair of the Drama Department and directed countless plays and productions until retiring. She spent summers at her home on Moody Beach, Maine, where she gracefully hosted and entertained and always made sure that no guest ever left hungry or thirsty. Among her many pleasures, Ellie had an affinity for antiques, décor, fashion, entertainment, fine food and drink. She was happiest while sharing stories and laughter in the company of family and friends and will be remembered lovingly by all. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022 from 3 until 5PM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
