Obituary for Dorothy R. Pryor (Boyle)

Dorothy R. Pryor (Boyle)

PRYOR, Dorothy R. (Boyle), 91, passed peacefully at home on Sunday, January 2, 2022. Beloved wife of the late John G. Pryor. Loving mother to Ellen Gulachenski & husband Bryan of Boston; and Anne Josephs, M.D. & husband Ephraim of Leominster; adoring grandmother of Michael, Christopher, Patrick, Mark, and Jack Josephs; beloved aunt of Matthew Boyle & wife Cathy, and dear friend to many. Pre-deceased by siblings Mary Louise Boyle and Edward Boyle.
Born in Boston, daughter of the late Matthew & Elizabeth (Mulcahy) Boyle. She was raised and educated in West Roxbury and remained a devout and faithful Catholic throughout her lifetime. Dorothy and John were focused on giving their daughters the best education possible in a home filled with love. She loved the ocean and was delighted when she and John retired to a house by the sea. Then she spent her last 6 years happily living with her daughter, son-in-law, and 5 grandsons, watching them grow up. Above all, she was happiest in her role as family matriarch, and will be remembered lovingly as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Funeral Mass: Monday, January 10, 2022 at 10:00AM at St. Leo’s Church, 108 Main St., Leominster, with burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne at 12:30PM. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dorothy Pryor to Trivium School, 471 Langen Rd., Lancaster, MA 01523. Arrangements are entrusted to Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, Clinton.
