LEOMINSTER: Carol L. (Kabel) Schoolcraft, 67, passed away on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Charles R. Schoolcraft, Sr.; 2 sons and their wives, Charles R. Schoolcraft, Jr. & Rebecca of Clinton, and Joseph L. Schoolcraft & Sarah of Tyngsboro; 2 brothers, Steven Kabel & his wife Gabby, and Robert Kabel; 2 sisters, Susan Brooks and Linda Wood; 4 granddaughters, Hannah, Molly, Emma and Nellie; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was born in San Jose, California and raised in Dublin, California, daughter of the late Francis E. and Nellie L. (Streeter) Kabel. Born into a military family, after Carol graduated from Dublin High School, she proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. While stationed in Germany, she met her husband Chuck, who was also serving in the U.S. Air Force, and they married in 1979. In addition to raising her family, Carol worked as a claim adjuster at Liberty Mutual Insurance. She was a simple woman who devoted her life to her family. Carol absolutely loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors, being at the beach and travelling especially to Disney.
Calling hours will be held from 5-7PM on Monday, January 2, 2023 in Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Carol L. Schoolcraft to: Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center, Care of HealthAlliance-Clinton Hospital Development Office, 60 Hospital Road, Leominster, MA 01453.
