Anthony J. Morabito Sr.
Clinton-Anthony J. Morabito, Sr., 81, died suddenly on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 after suffering a heart attack at his winter home in Weston, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Nancy (Joyce) Morabito; his children, Melissa Link & husband Raeshawn of Clinton; Alisha Roberts & husband Glenn of Exeter, NH; and Anthony J. Morabito, Jr. of Hampton, NH. He leaves his siblings, Mary Vattes of Lancaster; and Francis R. Morabito of Clinton; sister-in-law Barbara Morabito of Clinton; his adoring grandchildren, Devon, Skye, Ava, Aaliyah, Amaya, Justin, and Joshua; nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. He is pre-deceased by his daughter-in-law Michelle Morabito, and three brothers, Carmen, Joseph, and Cosimo Morabito.
Anthony was born in Clinton, son of the late Joseph & Jennie (Cardillo) Morabito. He attended local schools and graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 1959. He enlisted to proudly serve our nation in the US Army as a military policeman and was honorably discharged as a Specialist 4th Class. Anthony returned home safely to complete studies at Brom’s Barber Academy and began his barbering career at Seven Hills Plaza in Worcester. He then established his own business, Anthony’s Barbershop in Clinton, which he successfully owned and operated for more than 50 years, while enjoying the friendship of generations of families that passed through his chair. Actively involved in his community, Tony served as past President of the Clinton Community Chest and Clinton Lions Club. He was the proudest Italian to ever receive the honor of a Shillelagh Award presented to him on his favorite day, St. Patrick’s Day, by the Clinton Leprechaun Society. Tony and Nancy were fortunate to enjoy extensive travel with winter months in Weston, Florida and summers in Seabrook, New Hampshire. He enjoyed preparing authentic Italian cuisine while entertaining guests in his home and was happiest in the company of family and friends. Calling hours will be held from 4 until 7PM on Thursday, February 3, 2022 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
