Clinton-Kate Ellen Parker, 35, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 11, 2018. She is survived by her loving parents, Scott and Sarah (Gibbons) Parker; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends, notably Amy Mosher and Matt Hohl, and her professional mentor Mary Simone. She is pre-deceased by her brother Heath S. Parker.
Kate was born in Worcester, raised in Clinton, and graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 2000. She achieved her degree in Hotel & Resort Management from Johnson & Wales University and began her career with Marriott International. Kate worked as a Director of Sales for numerous Marriott locations including hotels in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Florida for many years before returning home to join her family in business at Depot Floor Covering in Clinton. She balanced work with a steady fill of vacation time and enjoyed extensive travel, meeting new friends wherever she landed. Kate loved fashion and always made sure to look her best. She held a lifelong crush on Gavin Rossdale and a great love for Marilyn Monroe. She always saw the best in others and greeted those she cared for most with her famous hugs. Kate’s memory will forever live on and she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her. Family and friends are kindly requested to meet directly at church to celebrate A Mass of Christian Burial for Kate at 11AM on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will be held privately at St. John’s Cemetery in Lancaster. There will be no calling hours held.
