Cheryl Lynn  Draleau
Clinton-Cheryl Lynn Draleau, 50, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Sterling Village on Friday, June 9, 2017, following a courageous three year battle with cancer. She is survived by her parents Joseph A. & Jean Draleau; siblings, Joseph A. Draleau, Jr. & companion Kelly Soares; Brian A. Draleau & companion Melissa McCArthy; and Diane Lasonde & husband Terry; all of Clinton. She leaves her nieces and nephews whom she adored, Timothy, Ryan, Laura, Emily, and Sarah Draleau, Mike and Matt Royal, and Gaby Toapanta; great-nieces and nephew, Ashlyn, Sophia, and Mikel; several aunts, uncles, numerous cousins, and many dear friends, notably Shirley Weaver & family, as well as her canine companion Scooter.
Cheryl was born and educated in Clinton, and was a graduate of the Clinton High School, Class of 1984, where she excelled in athletics as a member of the women’s varsity basketball and softball teams. She then enjoyed her professional career of nearly thirty years with Nypro, Inc. in Clinton, from where she worked in quality control until her recent retirement. A talented athlete, Cheryl played softball for many years in the Leominster Women’s League. She enjoyed summers in Old Orchard Beach and was an avid movie buff. Cheryl most cherished time spent in the company of her family and will forever be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Funeral services are to be held privately at the convenience of the family while entrusted to the care of the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
