Clinton-Andrea Gallardo Delgado, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 3, 2017. She is pre-deceased by her beloved son Adalberto Morales, who died in 2009. She is survived by her daughter Tatty Pomales & husband Pedro; son, Humberto Morales & wife Rosa; daughter-in-law Margarita Morales, all of Clinton; siblings Cristobal Gallardo of Puerto Rico; Amelia Vazquez of NY; and Reyita Vicente of DE. She leaves 6 grandchildren, Joe Diaz III, Humberto Morales, Jr., Glenda Morales, Nilsa Morales, Lissette Diaz-Nason, Elizabeth Morales, Tabitha Regan, and Selena Benjamin; 15 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, nephew Jaime Lopez Gallardo whom she raised, and generations of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. She is preceded in death by her great-grandson John Nieves, and siblings, Wence, Diego, Jr., Justo, and Virginia Gallardo, and Tony Jimenez.
Andrea was born Guayama, Puerto Rico to the late Diego Gallardo & Genobeva Delgado. She came to settle in Clinton, where she resided for many years and worked for Buck Chair. Andrea returned to Puerto Rico to care for her aging father and remained with him until he was called to be with the Lord at the age of 101. She then returned to Clinton and has dedicated herself to her family and faith. Andrea was a woman who loved the Lord and wanted others to know him as she had. She was a member of the Pentecostal Movement Church of Clinton and was always glad to share the gospel and good news. She was a loving person with a great sense of humor, who enjoyed entertaining guests in her home. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved her family unconditionally and was happiest when in their company. In her journey through life she planted seeds of love and always made sure that her family knew how much she loved them. A Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with burial to follow in Reservoir Pines Cemetery. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home from 5 until 7PM on Monday, May 8, 2017.
